Offshore patrol vessels built by BAe Systems at Scoutstoun for the Royal Brunei Navy who decided not to accept them despite, after a dispute, having paid £600 million for them. They have been laid up for sale at Barrow since 2007. In 2012 it .was reported that Indonesia would acquire them for a fraction of their original cost - NB that the ship at right has had its Brunei pennant number (30) removed. They are equipped with Exocet and Sea Wolf missiles and a 76mm gun, which has been removed.

andrewstransport > HMS Onyx, Barrow-in-Furness, 2 February 2013. Preserved Oberon class submarine built at Birkenhead by Cammell Lairds. Onyx was in service from 1967 until 1991, and was initially preserved at Birkenhead by the Warship Preservation Trust. After the trust went into liquidation she moved to Barrow in 2006. Sister HMS Ocelot is also preserved, at Chatham.
andrewstransport > HMS Stickleback (X51) and Japanese Long Lance torpedo, Imperial War Museum, Duxford, 31 December 2012 1. Two submarines built by Vickers have been preserved: HMS Amphion at Gosport, and HMS Stickleback. The X51 class of midget submarine was a successor to the wartime X-craft which crippled (but did not sink) the German battleship Tirpitz. They were intended for the same purpose - carrying mines (now nuclear) which could be placed against ships or other naval targets. Built in strict secrecy at Barrow by Vickers and launched in 1954, X51 was sold to Sweden in 1965, and came to the IWM in 1975. There were three sisters, Shrimp, Sprat and Minnow. In front of Stickleback is a Japanese Long Lance torpedo from World War 2. These completely outclassed Allied torpedos in range, speed and weight of explosive.
