France: Daks over Normandy, 2019 - C-47s / DC3s from the USA
Photos of 14 Dakotas at Carpiquet airport, Caen, which had flown from the USA for the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Their route was Maine, Labrador, Greenland, Iceland, Scotland and Duxford. From Normandy they flew to Berlin for the 70th anniversary of the 1949 airlift. Five of the Daks are D-Day veterans. I had also photographed two of the Daks in Californa in May.
