Supermarine Spitfire F24 PK683 & Supermarine S6A N248, Solent Sky Museum, Southampton, 15 June 2008. The F24 was the ultimate development of the Spitfire, and PK683 was one of the final batch built. Fitted with a Rolls-Royce Griffon engine, the F24 was twice the weight of the original Mark 1.
