Avro Lancaster I ED328 / SR-S, Finowfurt Aviation Museum (Shelter 3), 2 June 2016 1. The 101 Squadron aircraft took off from Ludford Magna, Lincolnshire, and was shot down early on Tuesday 24 August 1943 by a Bf 110 night fighter. ED328 is understood to have exploded in mid-air. The wreckage was found in 2013 near Lanke, about 25 miles north of Berlin, by the Oderland Aviation Archaeology Group (LAO). Here are seven views of their display in a hardened aircraft shelter in the Finowfurt museum.
