LNER A1 60163 Tornado & A4 4468 Mallard, 2010

Here are five shots of the amazing sight of Tornado dragging Mallard from the National Railway Museum at York to Locomotion at Shildon. The A1 did not exist the last time Mallard ran on the national network, in 1988! Mallard ran without its connecting rods and also without brakes, hence the presence of 47798 to provide brake force.
