NS 1504 (27006), Hook of Holland, 1 July 1972. Former BR class EM2 / 77 1500 V DC Co-Co, one of seven built at Gorton in 1953-54 to haul passenger trains on the Woodhead route. All were withdrawn in 1968 and sold to the Netherlands. 1504 had been 27006. It was scrapped in 1985, but three have been preserved. There is an unidentified loco behind 1504. This is probably a train to Cologne; the locos will come off at Venlo. Photo by Les Tindall.
