LMS 29896 & 28361, Tebay, 8 June 2009 1. The preserved LMS Liverpool - Southport EMU (BR class 502) was owned by the NRM who had nowhere to keep it under cover. Restored after withdrawal in 1980, it worked briefly in the mid 1980s but decades of open storage subsequently took a sorry toll. Here are nine photos taken shortly after the 502 arrived at Tebay in May 2009.
