Coach 2515, Havenstreet, 31 May 2008. Unlike most heritage lines, IWSR has no BR coaches. Its coaches were built before the 1923 grouping, or by the Southern to pre-grouping designs. Another unique feature is that IoW trains have always used the Westinghouse brake. The IWSR has specialised in restoring these rare survivors, some of which were sold off for use as bungalows etc! Coach 2515 was built in 1894 by the LCDR, and came to the Island in 1930. Like many of the line's four wheel coaches, it comprises a restored original body now running on parcel van underframes.
