Seven photos of William Hedley's pioneering 1813 loco Wylam Dilly, kin to his better known Puffing Billy. Dilly is preserved in Edinburgh in what at the time of my visit was the Royal Museum, now part of the National Museum of Scotland.

Wylam Dilly, Edinburgh, 3 May 2008 1 Built at Wylam, Northumberland, by William Hedley in 1813, the loco is kin to his better known Puffing Billy, preserved in Lonodon in the Science Museum, South Kensington. NB that the rails are mounted on stone blocks.
