Stephenson nameplates, Locomotion, National Railway Museum, Shildon, 26 September 2017. The plate at top was carried by Patriot 45569. The plate below comes from LNWR Experiment class 4-6-0 2052. It was built at Crewe in December 1906 and badly damaged in the high speed derailment at Shrewsbury on 15 October 1907 in which 18 people were killed including the driver and fireman. The loco was repaired and worked until December 1930. The plate at bottom was carried by LBSC Remembrance class 4-6-4T 2329 built in 1921. In 1934 it was rebuilt as an N15X class 4-6-0 by the Southern, and withdrawn in 1956 as 32329.
