Welcome to the North Norfolk Rly! Sat 31 August 2013. The North Norfolk, aka the Poppy Line, is just under five miles long. It runs from Sheringham westwards to Holt on the route of the Eastern & Midlands (later Midland & Great Northern Joint) Rly's 1887 line from Melton Constable to Cromer. The line is steeply graded, and westbound trains face two miles at 1 in 80. A connection to the national rail network at Sheringham was opened in 2010; it is mainly used by locos visiting the line.
