RDB 975874 (LEV 1), Locomotion, National Railway Museum, Shildon, Mon 8 October 2012. Leyland Experimental Vehicle 1 was built at Derby in 1979, with a Leyland National bus body on a four wheel railway chassis. The various Pacer classes are derived from this prototype. It even went to the USA for trials. NB the traffic indicators!

![North Eastern Rly No 1 [ 26500 ], Locomotion, National Railway Museum, Shildon, 23 April 2005. 600hp, 600V DC Bo-Bo loco built in 1905 by Brush with electrical equipment by British Thomson Houston for the NER's freight only Quayside branch in Newcastle. Fitted with conductor shoes and a pantograph on the roof, as the branch had an overhead wire but a third rail in a tunnel.
