North Eastern Rly No 1 [ 26500 ], Locomotion, National Railway Museum, Shildon, 23 April 2005. 600hp, 600V DC Bo-Bo loco built in 1905 by Brush with electrical equipment by British Thomson Houston for the NER's freight only Quayside branch in Newcastle. Fitted with conductor shoes and a pantograph on the roof, as the branch had an overhead wire but a third rail in a tunnel. Worked on the branch with a sister loco until it closed in 1964.
