Welcome to the Apedale Valley Light Railway! Sun 17 May 2015. As can be seen the Apedale is one of Britain's newest heritage railways. It is near Newcastle-under-Lyme, and is a 2 foot gauge line about one mile long built so that the Moseley Railway Trust can demonstrate their very large collection of narrow gauge industrial locos. The Trust have about 90 locos; most are diesels with a few steam-, petrol- and battery-powered examples.
