36 photos of the National Trust's important industrial railway collection at Penrhyn Castle, near Bangor, north Wales. Many exhibits are from the north Wales slate lines, but five locos have come from further afield.
Penrhyn Rly wagon No 230, Penrhyn Castle, Mon 22 August 2011. 2ft gauge wagon used for carrying two tons of finished slates from the quarry to Port Penrhyn. There were over 300 such wagons, and up to six trains of 40 of them ran daily. Various slate-working tools are in the wagon.
