Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway, 2012
36 photos of this 13.5 mile, 15in gauge line in Kent. It runs from Hythe through Dymchurch to New Romney and Dungeness. It is double track except between New Romney and Dungeness. It runs all year, carries around 100,000 passengers and has about 35 pemanent staff. Journeys take about 65 minutes. Scenic it is not, except arguably at Dungeness, as it mainly runs between the back gardens of countless seaside bungalows. It has never closed, and claims to be the smallest public railway in the world.
