Tom Rolt, arriving at Abergynolwyn, Thurs 25 August 2011 - 1127. A children's 'Duncan day' was taking place. The Rev W Awdrey was a long standing member of the Talyllyn Railway Preservation Society, and wrote Talyllyn locos Douglas, Edward Thomas, Dolgoch and Sir Haydn into his Thomas the Tank Engine stories as Duncan, Peter Sam, Rheneas and Sir Handel.
