Padarn Rly transporter wagon, Narrow Gauge Railway Museum, Tywyn, Thurs 25 August 2011 1. The Padarn was a 4ft line from the Dinorwig quarry to Port Dinorwig. The extensive railway system in the quarry was laid to a nominal 2ft gauge. Two foot gauge wagons of slate were lowered by inclines to the Padarn Rly, and carried on transporter wagons to the port as seen here. The guard rode in this caboose.
