Vale of Ffestiniog, Porthmadog, Mon 22 August 2011 - 0907. The Ffestiniog's 335hp B-B diesel hydraulic ties onto the rear of the Welsh Highland train, which it will draw onto the Cob after Garatt 143 has attached to the front. Vale of Ffestiniog was built in 1968 in South Africa by C H Funkey. It was rebuilt to fit the Ffestiniog loading gauge at Boston Lodge in 1998, when it was given double cabs.
