50 photos taken on 29 June, the morning after a day of heavy rainstorms, and the resulting landslips and washouts, had caused severe disruption on the Anglo-Scottish lines. The WCML was blocked near Oxenholme and at Tebay, the ECML near Berwick, and the Newcastle - Carlisle line near Haltwhistle. Rather surprisingly, the Settle & Carlisle was unscathed,

66421 (4Z82) & 390131 City of Liverpool, Carlisle, Fri 29 June 2012 - 0806. DRS's Thurs 4M82 1556 Coatbridge - Daventry heads south from Kingmoor where it had been held overnight. The 11 car Pendo was arriving empty to form the 0746 to Euston, though it was not booked to leave until 0830 in order to connect with late and overcrowded 221110 James Cook on Virgin's 0652 Edinburgh - Birmingham - Euston, and take on some of the Voyager's passangers.
