50 photos taken on 29 June, the morning after a day of heavy rainstorms, and the resulting landslips and washouts, had caused severe disruption on the Anglo-Scottish lines. The WCML was blocked near Oxenholme and at Tebay, the ECML near Berwick, and the Newcastle - Carlisle line near Haltwhistle. Rather surprisingly, the Settle & Carlisle was unscathed,

90020 Collingwood, 1S26, Carlisle, Fri 29 June 2012 - 0755. First ScotRail's 2350 Euston - Glasgow / Edinburgh sleeper sets off 165 minutes late. It had arrived via Shap after being held at Preston until the WCML reopened. The 16 coaches were reported as 10551, 10719, 10613, 10598 , 10506, 10542, 6701, 9809, 10689, 10519, 10531, 10703, 10527, 10714, 6704 & 9806. The 1M11 Glasgow / Edinburgh - Euston sleeper (90024) had been dragged via Settle to Preston by 66110. Both sleepers to and from Inverness were cancelled.
