Weisseritztal Railway, 2011
28 photos of the Weisseritztal, one of seven 75cm gauge lines to have survived in Saxony, in the former East Germany. It runs from Freital Hainsberg, west of Dresden, for 16 miles south to Kurort Kipsdorf near the Czech border. The line was very badly damaged by floods in 2002, which closed it until partial reopening in 2008. At the time of my visit, trains still ran only to Dippoldiswalde (9 miles).
