50 photos of this diesel tour. It was hauled from Dublin via Kilkenny to Waterford by 078. It returned via Limerick Junction behind two of the last operational "Small GMs", Nos 171 & 141. All the Small GMs have since been withdrawn.

DBGV 4004 (right) & 226 Abhainn na Siuire, Limerick Junction, 8 May 2009 - 1630 ...the 1530 Cork - Dublin Heuston, formed by one of the impressive Mark 4 push-pull sets comprising a driving brake generator van and seven trailers. They were built in 2004-5 in Spain by CAF. Traction is provided by one of Irish Rail's 32 3200hp class 201 locos, built in 1994-95 by GM.
