Royal Canal and North Wall, Dubllin, Mon 14 May 2012. Looking south east. Docklands station, at right next to the canal, opened in 2007 to relieve pressure on Connolly station. Trains run during weekday peaks to the M3 Parkway, on the partly reopened line to Navan. with connections to Maynooth. The office buildings beyond line North Wall, ie the north bank of the River Liffey. Some sidings remain in this view. They used to be very extensive, as North Wall was Dublin's port.
