62005 Lord of the Isles, 1Z26, Banavie, 26 September 2009 - 1838 The K1 is about to cross the swing bridge over the Caledonian Canal. Beyond is Banavie station and the radio signalling centre. It has controlled operations over the 137 miles from Helensburgh to Mallaig since 1988, apart from the Fort William area, which is still conventionally signalled. Banavie also controls the 41 mile Crianlarich - Oban line. Sixteen signalboxes closed under the resignalling scheme.
