Nine photos of this ornate signalbox, built in 1882 and now listed grade II. It was replaced by the present Station Junction signal box in 1903, and is now disused.

Furness Rly signal box, Carnforth, Thurs 16 February 2012 2. The Cavendish coat of arms can be seen on the gable. The Cavendish family were and are Dukes of Devonshire, who had extensive interests in Furness. The seventh and eighth Dukes were successively chairmen of the Furness Rly.
