[Argentine] Ferrocaril Nacional General Urquiza No 228, Asuncion, Paraguay, 19 October 1976 1. Wood-burning standard gauge 4-6-0 built by North British (19214 / 1910) for the Argentine Entre Rios Railway, which was later absorbed into the Urquiza system. No 228 was subsequently acquired by the FPCAL to relieve a loco shortage. Its only new locos since conversion from broad to standard gauge in 1911 had been two 2-6-0s built in 1953 by the Yorkshire Engine Company. All FPCAL locos were wood-burners. Photo by Les Tindall.
