City hall, Sarajevo, 13 June 2014. After the bombing, Franz Ferdinand and Sophie safely reached the city hall, seen here. They then decided to abandon their planned programme to visit those wounded by the bombing in hospital. In later years the building became a university library. It was shelled and burnt out in 1992 during the siege. It has been restored, and was officially reopened on 10 May 2014. But it was closed to the public at the time of my visit.
