Southern Rly C1 (33001), National Railway Museum Railfest, York, 28 May 2004 1. Bulleid's ultimate development of the archetypal British inside cylinder 0-6-0. A wartime austerity design, the Southern built 40 of these powerful locos at Brighton and Ashford in 1942. They were withdrawn 1963 - 1966; this is the only survivor. In 2014 it was still in the NRM at York.
